Three East End Long
Island Photographers
June 1- 25, 2007
Chris Foster – Anthony
Lombardo – Alex Vignoli

Foster, Lombardo and Vignoli
all live on the South Fork (the Hamptons) in Long Island,
New York. They each view and capture images of the ocean,
land and abundant wildlife in this very special place.
Large format digital prints were especially for this
exhibition. Additional smaller format images by the
three photographers are available both framed and unframed.
This exhibit is in keeping with our goal to showcase
world class local artists.
Chris Foster
The British-born, Amagansett photographer Chris
Foster takes a traditional approach. His nature-scapes
capture atmosphere and a specific sense of space.
Among his iconic images in large format will be
Fresh Pond Reflection, Bonaparte Wave, and Cormorants
at Dawn and the award-winning Beach Chair. Beach
Chair won first place in the black & white category
of the Long Island Museum’s Long Island Through
a Lens photographic show in May and is now
displayed with the George Eastman House Collection
exhibit, Best of Photo & Film. The ready
to hang large format images are printed on paper,
mounted on Sintra board and laminated for U.V.
protection. |

Anthony Lombardo
Watermill photographer Anthony Lombardo has chosen
a series of close-up digitally created sea life
images evocative of 19th century large folio illustrations
but with a 20th century twist. The photographs
relay an intimate Zen-like sense of our world
on macro and microscopic levels - nature seen
through a looking glass. The ready to hang large
format works are printed on paper, mounted on
Sintra board and laminated for U.V. protection.

Alex Vignoli
Brazilian-born, Watermill photographer / graphic
designer Alex Vignoli is the surrealist of the
group. He manipulates his carefully composed digital
photos combining several shots into one image.
Vignoli’s message can be viewed as mankind and
our relationship to the earth. The ready to hang
works are printed on stretched canvas in the manner
of paintings; they are U.V. resistant. |
